I met with Kathleen (Kathy) Quinton for a total of eight sessions over a 3 month period for career coaching. I was at a place in my career and life where I wanted to make a switch from the work that I had been doing -- and was very good at -- to work that inspired me.

Kathleen provided real-time exercises (and homework) to help me identify the nexus between my strengths and interests. Early in this process, she keenly observed what I might consider as my "next" career. She saw how I "lit up" when talking about some of my freelance work.

As a coach, Kathleen did not tell me what I should do; neither did she tell me what she would do. (I have had others give me their advice in a manner that suggested I would do well to take it -- even if unsolicited.) Instead, she led me to my own conclusions, informed by her probing questions and the excellent exercises and processes she led me through.

While she worked with me in the capacity of career coach, Kathleen helped me in other aspects of my life. Working on my interpersonal and relational skills was just as important for making a fresh start in a new area of employment.
