My husband was consulted by Specialista in Ortopedia e Traumatologia in the Centro Traumatologico di La Thuile after his ski accident on 17th March 2019 and despite his actual severe injuries was only subject to a very random check and was sent home to Poland where it turned out that he had a compression fracture of vertebral body Th6 (fractures getting into the spinal cord!!!!) and the comminuted fracture of the lateral conodyle of the left tibial bone. Mind you that this kind of a spine injury should eliminate him from any transport by an airplane and he should have at least a CT in Italy to determine that considering the fact that he informed the doctor in the Centro Traumatologico both about the course of the accident and the symptoms he had. All in all we end up in a situation that he will be operated on his knee this Monday despite the fact that this operation in this kind of injury is an emergency operation, which should have taken place a week ago in Italy !!!! Docs! Shame on you that you let this patient (sic!being himself a doctor!!!) out without at least a CT. I just want you to be aware of the fact that your negligence could have fatal results and we assume that your decision could deteriorate his current condition. After the CT scan back home the doctors in the hospital kept their eyes wide open as they couldn’t believe that you sent the patient back home with this kind of a spine injury! I would not be surprised if that happened to him in Ukraine or Russia or any third world country, but why on earth in Italy- my favourite holiday destination where I have spent both my summer and winter holidays for the last ten years. I believe that you would not like to undergo such a random and negligent medical treatment during your visit to Poland. Regards, the disappointed wife of your patient admitted to your clinic on 17.03.2019. So skiers! If anything goes wrong on the slopes make sure that you are taken somewhere else but not to Centro Traumatologico di La Thuile.

Wielkie dzięki dla ekipy z centro Ortopedii. Wbiłem sobie wielką drzazgę pod paznokieć wychodząc z toalety restauracji przesuwając rękę po drewnianej poręczy. Historia nie do uwierzenia zdarza się raz na milion. Lekarz ortopeda z centrum wyjął mi tą drzazgę w kilka sekund. Wielkie gratulacje dla całej ekipy. Jesteście the best!!!
