Hello my name is Edgar Rodriguez I am 19 years old , I was a former student of Ms.Melissa. Talking to Melissa was the best thing I ever did and my own personal therapy session whenever we had free time in school, during my freshman year (2019) I was 16 years old with no future, trouble maker, in the streets, clearly was in the wrong path! One day I decided to talk to ms.Melissa about everything that was going on my life and how bad I wanted to drop out and start doing my owns! But ms.Melissa took her time to understand me! Understand my feelings, my point of view, my thoughts , my emotions, everything! Hearing her words and motivations that she given me in that age was really what I needed! Also motivated me to go the gym and built up myself because i used to hate myself (body wise) so then ever since I started doing everything Ms.Melissa told me to do <3 , later on 2020-21 I was 17-18… the most important time in my life where everything was falling apart! If it wasn’t for Ms.Melissa I wouldn’t be here right now!!! I really appreciate her so much for this! I started growing up and maturing up and changing myself into a better person but one day that’s when everything started falling apart and wanted to go back where I was at the age (16) but ms.Melissa didn’t let that slide so she talked to me with a serious conversation about relationships and gangs, school but mostly being a better person and do better for myself and set an example for my little brothers and future generations! Which really affected me so much because I didn’t want any of my brothers turning like me and my dad and my older positions so because of her ms.Melissa I was able to change myself into a better person little by little (baby steps) and I was able to get my 6-7 charges dropped because I did stupid stuff at those age (17-18 years old) with friends that I used to hang out with but completely turned my LIFE around for the better and living a better life! She also got me my first job to always try and not give up even when they don’t accept you, you can always apply everywhere! And relationships…she always ALWAYS give good advice and told me to not give up and how great I am that I’m handling EVERY situation in LIFE that is not always fighting with fist but to always walk away and be a bigger person and the words that use against me to always ignore! Because people wants to drag me down and see me fail! Which ms.Melissa said it’s true which I really appreciate ♥️ but now I’m 19 years old! And I still talk to ms.Melissa whenever I need her advice and to catch up with her :). I am now living a better life, going to college soon with a bright future of being a cop first then my dream job DEA agent! But also inspired kids that used to be in my shoes and make them OPEN THEIR EYES in life!!! Don’t be a follower but a leader and make your own decisions don’t let other people make them for you! But most importantly don’t let anything stop you from chasing your DREAMS who cares what other people think of you or think of your dreams! If that’s what you wanna go for then go for it and prove people wrong! :))). But thanks to MS.MELISSA…she’s not just my (used to be teacher) but glad to say MY HERO, MY FAVORITE, but also glad to say my second mom♥️ cause I really love her! And always be thankful and greatful for her for helping me and understanding me a lot♥️
