Mr. Griffin has been extremely helpful in helping me navigate recent traumas in my life. His compassionate approach has made it very easy to discuss my issues without feeling judged. He takes the time to get to know your situation and unlike my previous experiences with other providers, doesn't come off as rehearsed. Having seen 4 different highly rated all 5 star counselors in the last four years (we keep moving), I can tell you Mr. Greg Griffin is head and shoulders above the rest. We've done both in person at his office and Zoom call meetings. No more listening sessions with "so how does that make you feel" and wasted time. Get ready for new insight and actionable advice. By far the best we've met. Also, he provides highly viable advice for non-Christians. Some Christian based counseling feels more like a Baptist revival where we'll all yell "Yay, Jesus!" say a long prayer and feel better. No going to work. Greg provides rubber-meets-the-road tactical advice that drives change. Highly, highly recommended.

Would not recommend for issues that go beyond Basic Christian counseling. Especially not for addiction or more complex psychological diagnosis or trauma. He gave some very dangerous advice to my partner who was only a few months sober after 20 years of addiction. What he told my partner was truly concerning, and I shared it with other therapists who have all agreed. He isn't trained or qualified for this, which is OK, the problem is that he says that he is. Please keep in mind that he is not a masters level therapist, who hasn't received the training for something so specialized and should not be promoting that he knows how to handle it. It was very clear early in the session that he didn't have the experience or skill set for this. I saw another review which says something similar, and I completely agree. I also agree that he came across condescending, and he spoke over us and interrupted throughout the session. His session price is the same as PhD psychologists, who have many years of clinical training and offer skills far beyond what he does. I did not tell him that I had worked in the mental health industry and in addiction treatment centers for 15 years, because I wanted us to have a blank slate. But I knew Shortly into the session, that we would not be coming back. Lastly, he came across very "salesy", We had barely pulled out of the parking lot and we already had text messages, asking us to sign up for more sessions, to leave him reviews, etc. We continue to receive more text messages after that, as well as emails, and Cards in the mail. It was very much a turn off. I knew it was a red flag when I was able to get an appointment with him so quickly because he had huge windows of availability, which, after working in the industry for a long time, I know is usually a sign that the therapist is not very good. Quality therapists are booked out and not that easy to get in with the next day. I ignored my gut and went anyway, but the experience left much to be desired, and again, some things were truly concerning. I gave him an extra star because I'm sure he can help those with basic needs.

I have been in a professional group with Greg for three years. He had done several trainings for us and has provided wonderful information about how to have better relationships. I listen to Greg as he speaks to folks in our networking group. I learn from him even then. His compassionate and caring spirit is apparent. I highly recommend him to speak with newly engaged couples, those finding their relationship on a rocky road or for those who recently left a relationship and need to make better choices in the future.
